The Thermodynamics of Acceleration. Why Artificial Intelligence is not our enemy but our mirror (and why Musk is only half right)

This editorial comes in three versions. It does not depend on how intelligent you are. It depends on when the algorithm entered your life: the one that decides what you see on social media, keeps you glued to the screen, and that we have already written about in the case of the skirt. Around 2010, social networks stopped showing us things in order of time and began choosing them for us. Since then, three generations have learned to read in three different ways. Choose yours.

If you were born before 1990, the algorithm found you as an adult, with your reading habits already formed: yours is the long version →

If you were born between 1990 and 1999, it caught you as a teenager, while those habits were taking shape: yours is the medium version →

If you were born in 2000 or later, it was already there, or nearly, as you grew up: yours is the short version →

Short not because you have less attention, but because you are used to getting straight to the point, and you deserve it.

Reading all three is allowed. In fact, it is an interesting experiment: measure on yourself how much the algorithm has changed you.
